Ranges - What do the indicator lights on my range mean?
Applies to
- Ranges
Solution
Your appliance may be equipped with 2 different types of surface indicator lights - the element on indicator light and/or the hot surface indicator light.
The element on indicator light is usually located on the display panel and will illuminate when a surface element is turned ON.
A quick glance at this indicator light after cooking is an easy way to be sure ALL surface controls are turned OFF. The hot surface indicator light is usually located on the display panel and will illuminate when any surface cooking area heats up and will remain on until the glass cooktop has cooled to a moderate level.
For more information, review the “Before You Call” section of your Owner’s Manual if you are experiencing any issues with your indicator lights.
